Andrew Franke
Ba. App Sci. Physiotherapy
Physiotherapist
Andrew has been a practicing physiotherapist for over 25 years and has extensive experience in occupational/workplace physiotherapy.
Andrew has worked with Victorian Institute of Sport Swimmers at the international level, whilst holding a certificate in Clinical Pilates and Occupational Physiotherapy (WorkSafe Victoria and TAC).


Josiah ‘Jos’ Howard

Physiotherapist
Jos is committed to delivering a service that empowers individuals to optimise their physical capabilities for the challenges of everyday life. With a background in working with Geelong Grammar School and Geelong VFLW football programs, Jos possesses extensive expertise in treating and preventing sports-related injuries.
His goal is to integrate manual therapy techniques with customized exercise prescriptions backed by evidence, guiding clients to recover from injuries and achieve their full potential.
Outside of physiotherapy, Jos is a talented musician who writes, records, and releases music on Spotify, as well as performing live at local venues.
Oscar Crosgrove
Ba. Physiotherapy
Physiotherapist
Oscar is a passionate physiotherapist, joining the BPC team in January 2024.
Oscar specialises in treating acute ankle injuries, muscle strains and osteoarthritis, currently working with the Geelong Cats VFLW team as a physio and the AFLW team as sports trainer.
Oscar has previously worked with the Geelong Amateur Women’s Division 1 team and with AFL/AFLW Indigenous and multicultural players during 2022 as a sports trainer. Oscar’s approach to physiotherapy includes hands on treatment and exercise prescription to promote recovery and prevent the reoccurrence of injury in the future.
Outside of work, Oscar is dedicated to his own fitness and never misses a workout. And when it comes to birthdays, he skips the cake—nothing beats a roast chicken from Woolworths.


Sam Slykhuis
BPhysio (Hons), ASCA Strength & Conditioning Coach
Physiotherapist
Sam is a dedicated physiotherapist who recently joined the BPC team while also working at Marna. Originally from the Surf Coast, he previously practiced on the Sunshine Coast before returning home, bringing a passion for helping patients recover from injuries and build strength for long-term health.
Sam specialises in treating general sporting injuries, shoulder pain, and biomechanics, with a strong focus on strength and conditioning programs and return-to-sport rehabilitation. He has worked alongside multidisciplinary teams, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and exercise physiologists, to treat a wide range of sports-related and orthopaedic conditions.
With experience working in hospitals, community settings, and sports clubs, Sam has developed a deep understanding of rehabilitation and performance. He is a qualified ASCA Strength & Conditioning Coach and has worked with various sporting teams, from soccer to paddling. His research background includes studying neurological adaptations following strength training, and he stays up to date with the latest evidence-based treatments.
Sam’s approach to physiotherapy prioritises patient education and empowerment. He ensures every patient feels heard and understood, equipping them with the knowledge and confidence to take control of their recovery. Sam also enjoys working with individuals looking to improve their fitness, strength, and overall well-being.
Oliver Butler
BPhysio, Level 2 Sports Physiotherapy

Oliver is an experienced physiotherapist who has been working in the Geelong and Surf Coast regions since 2016. Originally from Colac, his lifelong love of sport and interest in the medical field made physiotherapy a natural career choice. He is currently involved in clinical research with The University of Melbourne while also working at Marna.
Oliver specialises in shoulder, knee, and hip rehabilitation, as well as treating football, netball, and swimming injuries. He has completed post-graduate training in Level 2 Sports Physiotherapy, Movement Therapy, Pain Science, Dry Needling, and Mental Health First Aid to complement his holistic treatment approach.
A passionate athlete himself, Oliver plays football with Modewarre FNC, serves as a Surf Lifesaver at Wye River, and spends his free time trail running, swimming, and surfing. His deep understanding of sports injuries allows him to provide targeted treatment and injury prevention strategies.
Oliver’s approach to physiotherapy combines manual therapy techniques with personalised home exercise programs. He focuses on identifying the root cause of injuries and equipping patients with the knowledge and tools to manage their recovery and achieve their health and fitness goals.
